After a 30-year career as one of Charlotte’s top REALTORS®, Dorothy (Dot) Munson is excited to reopen Home Team Pros to help real estate agents learn how to build their own companies. Dot is looking forward to spending more time mentoring and fostering agents.
“I love to see the $5 million producer go up to $10 million next year and $15 million after that,” she says.
“And I know they can do it because I did it. I teach them that knowing how to develop relationships and how to treat and listen to people is the foundation of success as a real estate agent. You need a good reputation not only for your knowledge of real estate but also for fairness and honesty.”
Dot believes the time is right for her to start giving back to the real estate community.
During her career selling residential real estate in North Carolina and South Carolina Dot was a top producer (her average annual sales volume for the 10-year period from 1998 through 2008 was $15 million), but she always made time to give back to the industry in many service and leadership capacities. Dot has served on the board of Charlotte Regional Realtor Association (CRRA), Carolina Multiple Listing Service (CMLS), and the North Carolina Association of Realtors (NCAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
A true Charlotte booster, Dot currently supports the city’s cultural community by supporting the Arts & Science Council & has served on the board of Clayworks, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the ceramic arts, development of artists and students, and enrichment of the communities it serves.
